Share the Good News

"That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.'" 1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT

Knowing that a cold front was on the way and planning to settle in for a few days, I was ever so grateful for the mild temperatures yesterday morning. At 41 degrees and without having to wear double layers to get in some miles, I was absolutely lost in the run. That is until I heard these words. "Well folks," my favorite morning DJ said as he wrapped up the local weather report. "Enjoy the morning because this is as good it's going to get." And he was right. Within the hour, the winds picked up, the temperature started to drop and it began to rain.

And you know, in a world tainted by sin, isn't it great to know that this life is not as good as it's going to get? That there's something better waiting for us? A place "God has prepared for those who love him" that is greater than anything our minds could ever imagine? Of course it is! But if it's that great, why are so many of us keeping the Good News to ourselves? Why are we not giving hope to a lost world by telling them about this place that God has created for all those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ?

My friend, there are people struggling to make it through each day. People that have lost all hope and are ready to give up. People that are waiting to hear about the hope you and I have. So let us not be silent! Won't you join me in telling everyone the Good News? After all, our job as followers of Jesus Christ is to save souls.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that we have the Good News the world needs to hear.  Help us to be bold Lord knowing that our words have the power to give hope to others and to determine where a lost person spends eternity. It's in your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen.

Happy Running!!!
