Ran the Volkslauf on June 22, 2013 on Ft. Leonard Wood.  It's a 6 mile trail run through water crossings, mud pits and such.  Had such a great time.  In the interest of not ruining our TEAM413 shirts, we made some.  Was a truly great day.
The women of TEAM413.  Shannon Briscoe (1st on left) and her daughter Morgan (2nd from right) came down from Kansas City to join in on the fun.
Moriah and Kelly Scarborough were on our 5 person team.  Got this great pic from one of the soldiers monitoring the mud crossing.  Very thick mud.
A picture of our whole team after the race.  Justin, John, Me, Kelly and Moriah.  They were all superb runners which made for an even better race as we were able to keep a fast pace and still have fun.
Love this picture!  Truly shows the reason we are out there.  Sure, we love to run.  But, most importantly, we love Jesus and strive to serve Him in all we do.
The before picture with our clean shirts.
The day after the race, got this picture of my daughter Hope and a very curious cow.  Had a cookout with some other TEAM413 members.
Morgan does not like being girlied up.  This is the last time you will see here with these pink bows.
Shannon Briscoe and me after the race.  Love this girl and am truly blessed to serve such and awesome God with here.

Hospital Hill 2013

Great race on 6/01/13 at the 40th anniversary of the Hospital Hill run in Kansas City.  With some massive hills, it's appropriately named.  I met up and ran with an old friend, Eric Fortner.  We caught up on things and had a great run with a respectable 1:50 finish time.  Laura had a 2:36 and Kelly finally obtained her sub 2 goal with a 1:57 finish.  Most importantly, people were being reached.  Worked the expo Thursday and Friday and met a bunch of people.  I'm praying, as always, we reached "the one" we were sent for.

Met for prayer prior to race in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel.  Quite a good turnout.  We prayed for His blessings on the race and for boldness to let His spirit speak and work through us.

Chad and Kiki at the booth post race.  Chad got a 1:33 finish time.  3 minutes off his goal.  He was a happy man.

Met up with some other members after the race.
Chris and a member at the expo
Time to say goodbye to Chad.  The girls all have crushes on him.
 Walk back to the car.
Love this picture of us all.  With Shannon Briscoe.

me and Kiki at the expo Thursday.  Love this girl.

May 25th race.  In El Dorado Springs at Camp Galilee.  The race was the 3rd and last in the Yeti, Set, Run series put on as a fundraiser for the camp.  It was a 20k trail run.  Staying at the campground was part of the fun.  No TV or cell service.  We brought our own linens and had a fantastic time.  The kids were forced to talk to us.  LOL.  Great run for everyone.  We are so very blessed.  I love running trails.  There's something about the quietness, solitude and the beauty of being in the woods that allows His "whispers" to be heard.   In those times when I can feel Him beside me, I have to fight tears.  That's when I smile and bask in His presence and keep on running.

 Prerace morning
The night before.  Only 4 beds for 8 people.  Praise God we found an air mattress.  Hopee and I had quite the restful night on the floor. Strange, it was easier when I was 12.  lol
We explored the campground and had a fun evening.

All dressed up and ready to run.
