Always remember

“They forgot the LORD their God, who had rescued them from all their enemies surrounding them.” Judges 8:34 NLT

Running in the age of coronavirus: Sidewalk etiquette hot topic in ...
If you’ve been out on the trails, at the parks, on the roads or checking out social media since the stay-at-home order stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic began, you’ve probably noticed the huge increase in people running, biking and walking. In fact, CNN Health recently published an article saying: As people look for an outlet to exercise and escape the confines of self-isolation at home, running has seen a boom during the coronavirus pandemic. Right now, when the sun comes out, every path, park and neighborhood is crowded with runners," Brooklyn Track Club Women's Performance Team running coach Kate Gustafson told CNN. "I live in Brooklyn Heights and I've never seen so many people out running through Brooklyn Bridge Park at all hours of the day." But you can be sure that as people get back to work and life returns to "normal", a good majority of those persons who began an outdoor exercise program will soon forget it.

Unfortunately, that's not the only thing a good majority will forget. A great number of individuals who sought the Lord and cried out to Him during this self-isolation time will forget Him as well - just as the Israelites did over and over again. You see, during times of great trial most everyone will cry out for help. They may even begin attending church services and reading their Bibles. But soon, when the trial is over and life returns to "normal", they too will forget the Lord and all the ways He came to their rescue.

So if you have come to know the Lord during this time, I urge you to continue following Him. I promise that it will be the best decision you will ever make. And if you have renewed, strengthened or restored your relationship with Him, I pray it’s a trend that will never end. After all, whether we believe it or not, we need God just as much in the good times as we do in the bad.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the good that has come out of this pandemic. I pray that those who have turned to You because of it will not only never forget You but will be passionate to grow closer to You. Cause us to remember all the ways you have rescued us over and over again. It's in your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen.

Happy Running!!!

Remember - Lauren Daigle
