Jesus Was and Always Will be the Solution

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.“ John 3:16 NKJV

In a story that troubled many of my Greene County trail running friends titled “Fellows Lake closes multiple trail segments due to reports of aggressive dogs” published yesterday by Ozarks First, it was reported that Fellows Lake management announced that they have decided to shut down three trail segments until April 8. The closures come after recommendations from City Utilities of Springfield and Ozark Greenways, Inc. Fellows Lake and City Utilities say the owners of the dogs and animal control are working on the situation to come to a solution.

And you know, when it comes to situations that are in need of a solution, the Bible tells us that the moment sin came into the world, man had a huge problem that needed to be solved. Man’s disobedience created a debt that he was unable to pay—a debt that required a perfect sacrifice for complete reconciliation. Which meant that man needed a Savior. Thankfully though, God, in His abundant mercy, provided that sacrifice when He “made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” In other words, God loved the world so much that “He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

So as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ this weekend, let us remember that there are people in our world who don’t know they have a problem that’s in desperate need of a solution. May that knowledge motivate us to share the true meaning of Easter.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that there are people all around us who are totally unaware of their need for a Savior to reconcile them back to You so that they can have eternal life. Help us to be bold to share this message Lord so that no one would perish for lack of knowledge on our account. It’s in your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen.

Happy Running!
