BASS PRO MIDWEEK MOTIVATION - Here’s your sign

Hello runner friends!
Welcome back to the Bass Pro Fitness Series
MIDWEEK M😊TIVATI😊N blog!

Alright. So the signs of spring are everywhere right? Well they were before it snowed yesterday and the temps dropped below freezing anyway. But you can be sure all that will change in a day or two and the signs of new life will soon be reappearing. This is great news for all those people out there who rely on signs to lead their way. Which means if you're one of those people who have been waiting for a sign that it’s time to start running or to get back to it, here are some of my favorite motivational signs that you’ll only see at a race. Which is your sign that you need to run a race.... which is your sign that you need to train for one... which is your sign that you should start running... which is your sign that you need to start today.

So now that you've received your sure sign that you were "born to run," check out these other signs and what they might possibly mean to you.

This is your sign to never give up. It's your sign to keep digging deeper and deeper until you've grasped hold of that booger, I mean finisher's medal.

This is most definitely your sign that you need to run... a lot. After all, the lack of toenails is a sure sign to everyone that you're a serious runner. And hey, if all toenails end up in a better place, you're actually doing your feet a favor.

This is definitely a sure sign that you are a work in progress. That means that you have lots of work to do... work that won't get done unless you get up and get it done. No one can do it for you. So take that first step today and be one step closer to being "there" which is whatever the goal is that you set for yourself.

This is your sign that although training might get tough, someone else's training is going to be tougher than your's. Let that thought motivate you to keep pressing on.

This is most definitely your sign to keep your eyes focused on what's in front of you and to keep running or walking as fast as you can! Never take your eyes off the goal and keep a sense of humor while you're training because a lot can go wrong.

This is your sign to keep all things in perspective. Think you're slow? Think again. You're just getting your money's worth and you're taking the time to enjoy the things around you. Think you can't be a runner because you don't look like one? Runners come in all sizes, shapes, ages and fitness levels. Embrace your uniqueness and get out there! Look for the positive in everything and you'll soon find the positive in everything.

This is your sign that if you can't run then walk. Just keep moving. Too many people think you have to run to enter races. This is simply NOT true!! Movement is movement and a finish is a finish no matter how long it takes. And do you see that smile on the girl's face that is holding the sign? That's your sign to make having fun your number one priority. So get moving and enter that race.

Ok, so let's get real here.. this is your sign that not starting is the worst thing you could ever do.

Do you realize that less than one percent of the population will ever complete a marathon? And that only ten percent of that same group will ever complete a 5k? That means you will be inspiring someone else no matter the distance or the time it takes you to get there. This is your sign then to get out there and make the world a better place by sprinkling joy with every step! For real... in a world with so much negativity, inspiration to do positive things is needed more than ever. So lace up those shoes and get moving!

For the person who is still unconvinced that they have what it takes to finish a race, this is your sign. The voice in your head that says you can't do it is indeed a liar. You can do nearly anything you set your mind to. And if you doubt that, read the sign again and again and again.

So there you have it friends, the signs don't lie. Now is most definitely the time for you to get moving, whether that's by running or walking. And now is also the time to get signed up (did you like that play on words?) for a race. And if you're unsure of which race, check out the Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series list of events. They have something for everyone.

Happy Running!!!
