“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.,” Ephesians 3:20 NLT
In an article titled “Why A Bulgarian Ultra-Marathon Runner Shut Himself In A Glass Box” published Sunday, the following was reported: Bulgarian ultra-marathon runner, Krasse Gueorguiev, will live in a glass box for 15 days in a park in Sofia, to raise money to help young people fight addictions. Mr Gueorguiev, a motivational speaker and charity ambassador, has run some 30 ultra-marathons worldwide, from the Arctic to Cambodia, as well as a 217-kilometre race in California's Death Valley. "I want to challenge myself," Mr Gueorguiev told Reuters. "I want to show when you put someone in the box how psychologically they change." The funds raised will be used for various projects to prevent addictions among children under 18, including drugs, alcohol, digital media and energy drinks.
And you know, while it’s one thing to put yourself in a box, it’s a whole ‘nother thing to put God in one—something many Christians do, which keeps them from attempting big things for the Kingdom. But the Bible is very clear that God is more than capable of working “within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” You see, God’s mighty power knows no limits. No matter how bold our requests may seem, God can do more than we could ever imagine because His means for accomplishing these things comes through His strength. Furthermore, His work is done through us by the Holy Spirit's power within us.
So don’t put God in a box my friend. Trust that He can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ever ask or think, according to His power that works in you. So give Him all the glory as you step out in faith to do whatever it is He is calling you to do today.
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that, through You, there’s nothing You call us to do that we can’t do. Help us to truly comprehend this that we might step out with boldness and confidence to fulfill the calling You have placed on our hearts, no matter how impossible it might seem. It’s in Your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen.
Happy Running!
