"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 ESV
At one point or another, nearly every runner will experience an injury bad enough for their doctor to recommend cutting back on mileage for a while or even taking a complete break from running to allow the body to mend. And while downtime will most certainly give the injured body part time to heal, it may not always fix the underlying problem to prevent it from happening again. Which is why most running coaches and specialists will recommend "active recovery", or using the break to do exercises that will address muscle weaknesses and faulty mechanics to avoid re-injury, as a much better option.
So won't you make the choice to be healed today my friend? Won't you forgive just as you have been forgiven and then let it go?
Heavenly Father, thank you for the reminder that unconfessed and unforgiven sin as well as our unforgiveness of others is harmful to us in so many ways. Help us to freely let go of both that we might be thoroughly cleansed and healed and completely healed. It's in your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen.
Happy Running!!!
